Northern Marianas Badminton Federation will lay out its plans for 2008 as they hold a leadership training and committee planning tomorrow, Jan. 19, at the Sun Palace Hotel in Susupe.

The whole day session, from 9am to 5pm, aims to finalize the NMBF's projects for the whole year including the aggressive promotion of badminton in various schools.

Newly elected president Marconi Calindas is requiring all officers and their representatives to attend morning and afternoon sessions, while committee members are only requested to join the afternoon meeting.

Five committees were also formed that would help the current officers make sure the plans would be implemented. The committees are membership, finance, auditing, tournament and logistics, and training development.

Calindas is requesting all members who wanted to participate and volunteer to choose the committee that they would join in. Each committee is composed of a chair, an assistant, and a secretary that will be elected or selected within their group.

Vice president Edwin Montoya retains his post, while other elected officers are Hapi Gabriel, secretary; Malou Mendoza, treasurer; and Cristy Villaflor, auditor.

Shirley Kim, Gigi Zapanta, and Lito Mendoza remain members of the board of directors with Guadalupe Sabino and Marlene Peraja joining them.
